Now I don’t have to wait until I’m Pregnant to Wear 3-Free Polish.

Sonia Kashuk Nail Polish vs. Butter London – 3Free Polish

I love nail polish. It’s such a cheap simple way to brighten your day and wardrobe. I type a lot, and I like to see the pops of color dancing on the keyboard. My favorite formula after trying all the popular ones was Sonia Kashuk’s nail formula. With proper application, it lasted almost a week, the colors were always fashionable, and it was so inexpensive! $4.79 a bottle.

Awhile ago, a friend asked me, “Have you ever tried Butter London? It’s free of all the nasty things that are bad for you.” I checked out the price tag – yikes! $15 a bottle. After a long soul searching struggle, I decided I would wait until I was pregnant (when the “nasties” in the nail polish might endanger the health of the baby, that’s what I heard anyway) to splurge that much on nail polish.

Then I just stopped buying nail polish because I was confused. I kept thinking about Butter London and it’s 3-FREE title, and pondering when I would have $15 that I could earmark for one single color of polish. I almost bought it several times and didn’t.

Apparently my normal ingredient reading self was on vacation, because I was convinced that only Butter London was 3-FREE (Dibutyl Phthalate [DBP], Formaldehyde and Toluene.)

Then I saw on the Sonia Kashuk website something that made my heart leap – Sonia Kashuk nail polish was High-shine, Chip-resistant & 3-free. $4.79!

Woohoo! I rushed out and bought my newest and favorite color – Hocus Pocus. What a great fall mood color. I’m wearing it right now, since I don’t have to wait until the justification that I’m pregnant to spend $15, as I now need only to pay $4.79. It’s moody. It’s fun. It’s pretty. It’s 3-FREE.

  1. Great post! 🙂 I love the idea of the colours dancing along the keyboard. I’ve never thought of it that way before. But I do work in an office, so tomorrow I’m sure I will think of you when I first start typing. 🙂

P.S. I absolutely love the colour you decided to swatch for fall. I don’t actually have a shade like that either, but it is so pretty. I’m going to have to keep an eye out for something like it.
