Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer – another budget beauty alert!

Hi friends! Tomiko over at Organized Journal first blogged about Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer back in March and on the hunt for a good concealer (I own several that just don’t do it), on a low budget, I came across her post and thought, hey, for $4, it’s worth a try!

I have been using a lovely tinted moisturizer I completely adore that is on the sheerer side that I think lets my skin show through much better and more healthy looking than the previous foundation I’ve been wearing, and also lets acne heal faster. This lighter coverage however necessitates a good concealer.

I would call this concealer medium coverage, buildable to heavy. This is perfect, because you don’t need the same amount of coverage for every blemish you have. I tend to have spots from very old acne that just hang on for months, and then there are more serious blemishes to cover. This doesn’t feel heavy and cakey at all, a huge plus for me, as every concealer I’ve ever tried seems to be either watery or cakey. This is sort of soufflรฉ-ish. A nice creamy consistency that is very matte (absolutely necessary for blemishes and oily skin) and stays well.

Tomiko uses it under her eyes but I personally haven’t even tried that yet as I find that a bit of tinted moisturizer (Paula’s Choice to be exact) brightens my under eye circles enough and it is very easy for me to get too much product under my eyes as the skin is very fragile.

Sometimes I add Paula’s Choice Healthy Finish pressed powder for added coverage (over the concealer, not under my eyes).

So that’s the second beauty budget buy alert I wanted to share (or reshare) with you but there will be more to come!

    1. I am happy with it. You have to build it a little if it’s bad but I don’t mind that, and the layers are nice and thin and not bulky while having medium-to-heavy coverage.

  1. Hahaaa “I love having pictures of myself like this online”, but it does help for us out here, I love honest before and after pictures. It’s why I love your blog.
Besides have you seen celebs without make-up? Please. ;D Our skin gets moody and that’s the way it is.
