Confessions of a Shopaholic

Lovely Lady Kate tagged me in Confessions of a Shopaholic! At the end of this post, I’ll be tagging four lucky bloggers. 🙂 Check out Lady Kate’s blog, http://intothestratosphere.wordpress.com/, for lots of inspiring fashion photos.

Do you consider yourself a shopoholic?

Yes, though I’m usually satisfied with one little purchase. Per trip. Then I have to go back. It makes me feel better to buy things in lots of little trips rather than one big trip.

How would you classify your style?

Simple. Blue jeans with feminine tops and wedges. Or blue jeans with casual tops and cute flats. If anything, I’m a 70’s style person, but not the high waisted jeans. Never. No matter how fashionable they ever become.

What store can you not leave without buying something from?

Target. They have all that lovely Sonia Kashuk stuff.

Where do you find your best deals?

Kohls clearance rack.

What designer are you willing to splurge on?

I can’t afford to splurge on any designer, but if I could, I think it would be Desigual.

Do you have a go-to shopping outfit?

This sounds like a good idea. Never thought of it.

What is your guilty pleasure?!

Makeup: mostly lipgloss, tinted lip balms, and any other lip product that has a fancy name that leads me to believe that it will be the perfect blend of pigment and hydration.

What is the one piece of clothing you can’t live without?

My jeans. My favorite pair is from a thift store, and they are Bongo, but I love the fit, the wash and the rips.

Who is your style icon?

I’m not into fashion enough to have a style icon. I’m mostly into makeup. I like Sonia Kashuk’s philosophy if that counts. For clothes, I’m inspired by Desigual.

  1. I totally agree on the designer question! And i’m going to look into Bongo jeans.. it’s hard to find a really flattering pair of jeans I think. And the 70’s are the best! Or at least I wasn’t on earth yet, but they seem great. That 70’s show is amazing.. i’m always staring at Donna’s shirts and Jackie’s whole outfits.

    1. Hi Anouchka! Yeah I just think the silhouettes were flattering, much more so than the 80’s. I’ve never seen That 70’s Show but I’ll have to google it for images. I still like somewhat flared jeans, and I love the floral hippy shirts with the two ponytails on the side of the head – that might be more 60’s but I’m not sure.

    1. 🙂 Love it! I had to wear dresses all my life so my idea of dressing up for 5 years after I didn’t have to do that anymore was jeans, dressy shoes and dress shirts. Now I do like a pretty glamorous dress now and then, but still can’t do skirts, and the occasion has to be super special.
